October was a busy month for the Delex International Training Academy. Eighteen of the first year Ground Control Intercept (GCI) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) basic students graduated after a 14-month course.
During this same time, four (4) GCI and ATC instructor students participated in a 4-month Instructor course, learning how to instruct basic students, and how to develop training plans. Lt Col Waleed, Lt Col Shaheen, Maj Abdul, and Maj Mohammed graduated from the Instructor course on Oct 7th. The Delex Academy hosted a dinner in the new Graduate’s honor at the Vast Restaurant to congratulate them on their success in the course.
Delex is now hosting their second group of 16 Basic ATC and GCI students who are currently in the English pipeline and will graduate September 22, 2017. The Delex staff is gearing to develop other courses such as Advanced GCI and Trainer GCI courses under the expert lead of Instructional Systems Designer (ISD), Drew Wilson.
Delex in-house operations were a success because of the hard work of the entire team: Rhonda Hellstern (English Instructor), Theo Nelson (English Instructor), Drew Wilson (ISD/GCI Subject Matter Expert (SME)), David Sandoval (GCI SME), Ricky Aponte (GCI SME), Tommy Arata (Deputy Program Manager/GCI SME), and Chris White (Program Manager).
Congratulations to the Kuwait students and to the Delex International Training Academy team!
